Police Department

The City of Versailles Police Department consists of nine full-time officers and 7 reserve officers. 

The police department utilizes five patrol units to assist in the 24-hour, seven days a week of coverage for the City of Versailles.  Safety and well being of the citizens of Versailles as well as protection of citizens' property is the responsibility of the police department.

The department's duties include protection of life and property, criminal investigations, traffic safety enforcement, animal control enforcement, planning and zoning and assisting the citizens with any concerns, no matter how large or small.

Priorities of the Versailles Police Department are to maintain the newest and most updated equipment to ensure the safety and well being of the officers and community.  Proper equipment is instrumental in heightening the moral of those who serve.

State of the art reporting technology enables the Police Department to possess a simple record keeping system.    The department's goal is to maintain a low crime rate for the citizens of Versailles.

Mission Statement:  To interact with all the citizens of Versailles to improve the quality of life in our community.  With an emphasis on controlling and preventing crime, they will accomplish their mission by promoting a safe and secure environment through effective and responsive delivery of police services throughout the community.
