Dog License

Any dog over the age of six months is required to be licensed.  To obtain a dog license, you must present a current rabies vaccination receipt from a licensed veterinarian.  The cost of a license is $5.00.  License renewal is required on the anniversary date of issue.  License may be obtained at the Versailles City Hall, 104 N. Fisher Street, Versailles, Missouri 65084 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Cat License

Any cat over the age of six months is required to be licensed.  To obtain a cat license, you must present a current rabies vaccination receipt from a licensed veterinarian.  The cost of a license for a spayed or neutered cat is $10.00.  If the cat is not spayed or neutered the cost for an annual license is $50.00.  License renewal is required on the anniversary date of issue.

No animals within the city limits of The City of Versailles are allowed to run at large.  All dogs found running at large shall be picked up and impounded by the City Marshal, Police Department and/or Code Enforcement Officer.  An impound fee of $10.00 plus a confinement and boarding fee of $2.00 per day for each day or portion of a day that the dog is retained in the dog pound.
