Full-Time Regulatory Control Officer

Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Wages based on experience

Benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance and 401 k)

Requirements

* Must be capable of handling dogs and cats / operating and maintaining city pound

* Working knowledge of construction / planning & zoning a plus

* Must be willing to attend training for animal control, code enforcer duties and zoning officer duties

Responsibilities

* Act as animal control officer - regulate and enforce animal regulations - operate and maintain city pound

* Enforce nuisance ordinances of City of Versailles

* Act as Zoning Officer - enforce zoning ordinances

* Supervise court ordered community service workers

* Responsible for building inspections

* Be available for other duties assigned by the Mayor / Board of Aldermen

* Coordinate with city attorney to address ordinance violations pertaining to animals, nuisance, building and zoning

* Provide technical assistance to Board of Aldermen, Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment
