[ARCHIVED] Hay Mowing and Removal at Airport - Invitation to Bid


The City of Versailles is requesting SEALED BIDS FOR MOWING, CUTTING, BALING and REMOVING HAY IN THE UNRESTRICTED AREA AT THE AIRPORT. Mowing is a minimum or two times per year and only areas designated by the city can be mowed.  Bids will be received by the City of Versailles, City Clerk, 104 North Fisher, Versailles, MO 65084 until 4:00 p.m., May 16, 2022.  Specifications and map of designated area are available at City Hall. Any questions call 573-378-4634. The City of Versailles reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to re-advertise and to re-bid.

Specs -

This is a working airport attention must be paid to air traffic landing and leaving from the airport.

Bales of hay cannot be left at the end of the runway or on the runway approach. Bales must be moved to another area if they cannot be removed at once from the city airport property.

Under no circumstances shall the bales of hay remain at the airport for more than 7 days.

Mowing is in specified areas only and a minimum of two times per year.

Any damage to the property is the responsibility of whomever is awarded the bid.

No mowing can be done Saturday, May 21, 2022. The airport will be in use for a scheduled event.
